Thank you for the information and link!! The vet prescribed carafate which he gets
every 8hrs, 10min before he eats. Roughly, that translates into getting a dose every
other feeding. His somewhat dissinterest in food right now "may" be due to giving
him first the Uncle Jim's Duck Soup (made by Marshall's) and then switching to a
modified version of Bob Church's recipe. He did seem to like the duck soup better,
but it may not have been bland enough for his stomach to heal, from what I'm told
anyway. But one feeding he may do well, then the next not so well, and he's rather
a limp noodle when I feed him now. Though he's alert if shown something he's
never seen before---then the ole ferret interest and curiosity bubbles to the
surface. :o) I guess since he's looking rounder and eating well I wont worry too
much just yet.

This chicken gravy stuff is a pain to make, too, because we can't do it the way the
recipe actually calls for. We have to cook the chicken strip the chicken, blend the
chicken with the ingredients, then liquify it so it's not grainy or lumpy. But he
seems to do okay on it.

I'm going to have a look at that site you sent the link for. You know, I'm still just
baffled that the only pet store in our area that sells fuzzies, and a LOT of them,
doesn't carry anything like duck soup. Go figure.

Thanks again!
