Subject: possible ulcers?
Message-ID: <854635.1104791124744.JavaMail.root@thallium.smartgroups.com>

My ferret was chewing on his blanket for about a minute. I did not see this, but my husband said it sounded like someone crunching corn flakes in their closed fist. I asked if the ferret was grinding his teeth, and my husband said no, that he was just chewing on the blanket really hard. My husband straightened out the blanket b/c he said it looked like the ferret was trying to move it.

My ferret takes 1.75 mg of prednisolone per day for insulinoma. He had surgery about 6 weeks ago and is doing well. Could this be ulcers? What should I be doing or looking for? I've never experienced this before, and we've never seen this ferret (who we've had for 6+ years) do this.

Thanks in advance.
