Hi Shay,
In regards to the red spots you are seeing on youu ferret's belly: my ferret has had
a progressive skin condition for a while now. the spots are not on his belly, but are
along his back near his tail. they develop crusts that fall off, and then more spots
appear. We have tried everything to rule things out for the cause of the skin spots.
Every thing but a thyroid test.

You said you ruled out hypothyroidism..Was this based on blood work or symptoms
alone? I am thinking about testing for hypothyroidism with blood work for my ferret.
I have heard of a wide range of sypmtoms occuring in ferrets with hypothyroid,
including skin problems and neurological problems, or even eqilibrium problems.
My ferret has been treated for ulcers in the recent past. He is still grinding his teeth
so i am not sure if he is rid of them.
He never had tarry stools or anything like that though..
What symptoms of ulcers does your ferret show? Does he grind his teeth?
Thanks for your response and keep me posted'
Tara
