How old is she?
Have you noticed any ulcers in her mouth, particularly on the roof? Any change in her breath odour (pungent)? Urine-like smell to her overall?
You might want to search the archives for info on renal/kidney failure. Please don't panic, but the more info you have the better equipped you will be to help her.
As for diabetes, there's tons of info in the archives on this. You might even want to try contacting the individuals directly on how they worked with this illness and what they found worked best for their ferrets.
Best of luck to you both.

Phosphorus is back to normal, BUN is just slightly high, but the creatinine when last checked was 2.7 (down slightly). Also, when last checked a couple weeks ago her specific gravity showed she was still concentrating her urine. Her next appointment isn't for about 3 weeks. I understand she has irreparable kidney problems now. Will sustained values like this make it worse? How can I get the creatinine down?

She was switched to Hill's K/D to manage the kidney disease which fortunately she likes. What else can I do that will work well with her diabetes management?
