Thank you for your responses. The Dr. did some sort of blood analysis b/c he
indicated that Cecil's blood PH was a little high (7) so we've been giving him some
meat treats and papaya to get that lower. X-rays have been done, but someone else
also said to try an ultrasound...hmmm...I think I'll ask about that. Today our Dr.
prescribed prednisone b/c he thinks there is hemorragic systitis, so we'll see how
that goes for 10 days or so.
I am [only] a teacher, so it's not like I'm rich, but cost is not an issue. I preach to
others not to get pets unless they are ready to afford large vet bills, so I'll practice
what I preach!! Plus, I lost Rikki in April; you tried to help me with him (hind end
paralysis) and I just couldn't bear to lose another so soon - esp. w/out doing all I
could!!
