Hi Everyone

HAPPY NEW YEAR to all you "Humans" and Your Wonderful Fuzzies!

I'm just back from two weeks' vacation - and NO PC access - so am really
playing catch-up with all the ferret emails (I had over 370 emails with
both work related and ferret-related). I'm SURE you've already gotten a
gazillion answers to your inquiry, but I'm adding my 2 cents' worth
anyway.

To address this issue - yes, you can use these wood pellets as litter.
I know many of our members in the Baltimore Ferret Club use them for
just the reason you mention - it is inexpensive. I tried them myself
after getting the OK from more ferret-knowledgeable members, but have to
say I did NOT like them! The problem with them is that, once they get
wet, they kind of disintegrate, and therefore, become rather useless. I
found it harder to clean the litter boxes as well with these.

I use Yesterday's News and/or Yesterday's Mews (a copy cat), and find
both of these to be WONDERFUL! I especially like the Yesterday's MEWS
because it also has a pleasant scent. There is also another litter I
use a lot which is grey in color and kind of like egg-carton in texture
(the old fashioned paper kind - not the new Styrofoam kind). This is
also very good.
