I'd get a second opinion. Most vets, the ones who are
worth their salt and aren't full of themselves, will
accept or encourage that. If you get sarcasm or
derision my feeling is that you are dealing with the
wrong vet.

Bring copies of the posts from this list. I used to
do that with our vet in North Carolina from time to
time, particularly if the posts were from a vet or
from someone who had good results with a particular
treatment. It was always appreciated.
