A rapid weight gain like that sounds more like fluid. How is his heart? I o=
nly mention this because when my ferret had a weight gain with decreased en=
eregy and faster breathing, he had a heart problem. Enlarged lymph glands c=
an be from infection. I'm sorry I'm not much help. I don't think feeding hi=
m every 8 hours is a good idea. My understanding is that ferrets need to ea=
