Jill, if you have Hill's Science Diet available at your vet, but a bag of the prescription
diet T/D for cats, or the small bites for dogs. This diet is formulated to scrape
plaque off the teeth as it's chewed. It is NOT a recommended total diet for ferrets,
but a few a day as a treat really makes a huge difference on tartar. My little Rascal
has had a huge buildup and a treat or two a day has reduced it sizeably!
