Yes. Our local ferret society records report one death directly from choking and one from stress and infection caused by kibble caught in the roof of the mouth ( the ferret ripped itself badly with its front claws trying to get it out while the owner was at work). There are no deaths on record from bones.

All foods have risk, it is sad when the benefits are swept under the carpet in favour of disproportionate fears.
