One other consideration when using distilled water for hydrating a ferret...

Being 'pure', ie: No minerals, the water does not refresh nor quench thirst
so your ferret will just drink and drink and drink and......

*That* could cause some problem you weren't counting on..like loose stools
and even possibly start something serious, like IBD.

Nope...I wouldn't recommend distilled water. Get a $15.00 filter and filter
your tap water...A much better way to go if you are concerned about the
quality of water where you live.

the ferrets will be losing out on these minerals in their diets. I guess it
boils down to deciding which of the 2 evils is worse.
