At 12 weeks the teeth should all have begun their eruptions (and a number should be completely in). You will be having the assorted vaccine appointments starting about now so have the vet check for a problem with eruption. In 24 years we have encountered 3 personally: one ferret erupted a molar through his palate and that had to come out, one had a canine tooth turn on its side and create a severe infection, the thrid had trouble dropping his canine teeth and I had to help loose all four and help remove two of them. Teething difficulties are not terribly common but they certainly are not rare, either.
