I didn't get too many responses on experience with Carboplatin, but I decid=
ed to go ahead and start it. Rascal's sutures came out this weekend, and h=
e has been super sleepy for the past couple days, so I wanted to get chemo =
going pretty quickly to slow metastasis of the apocrine adenocarcinoma. An=
yway, I gave him his first injection last night. I was worried since I had=
to mask him on Iso to get a good vein. It went well. I am not so worried=
after getting him home. Just a short while after waking up we came home a=
nd I had him in his blanket. I got to my deck and he poked his head out an=
d wanted to get down. There is 6 inches of snow here and he was quite happ=
y to hop down and play in it. He did his little happy dance all the way to=
the front door. He proceeded into the house, crawled into his cage and at=
e a big bowl of supper. He ate heartily this morning too. Guess it was mo=
re traumatic for mom than kid! We shall repeat in 3-4 weeks for 5 or 6 tre=
atments. HOpefully it will do some good!
