This sounds good, the one thing that upsets me is how the ferrets fight the
smell of the gas. I have one who had to have gas 4 or so times the last
month for complications from a canine that was not taken out right. And the
thought of her having gas almost every week and dreading it really upset me.
If this pre med is safe and okay to use, I wouldn't mind using it, too.

I like to use Buprenex. I give it subQ, I'll have to look at the dose
tomorrow at work. It's very small. I know I give my Rascal .03ml/kg, but I
can't think how many mg/ml the vial is.
It doesn't knock him out, but it makes him not mind the masking down on Iso.
I had to mask him down last night for an IV injection so I didn't premed and
he wasn't a big fan of being held still. On the Buprenex, he hasn't minded
the funny smell in the mask.
