Subject: Front end weakness

My ferret presented with front end weakness yesterday evening when I went to check on them. She is unsteady on her front legs. She can stand, and walk a little, but prefers to crawl on her front legs. Hind legs are fine.
She is currently at the ER vet and has been since yesterday evening. So far blood tests show nothing, x-rays show nothing. We are presently waiting on an ultrasound.
Any suggestions on things I should look into next? Any idea what might cause front end weakness? She just saw her regular vet on Thursday for an unrelated matter.
