Hi Kelli,
I faced this with my baby, Thunderfoot. He was a victim of the Mystery Disease and I helped him cross the bridge last Jan 31st. The onset of his disease was Dec 15, 2003. He went to not walking in about 7 days. Everything possible was done for him. He was a little trooper at first and would drag his body across the floor when too weak too walk. Finally reached the point he could barely raise his head. He would potty and just lay his head back down, too weak to crawl out of it. Looking into his little eyes I could see the answer I knew I didn't want. It was time to let him go. He knew I tried and he knew we loved each other so much, but he knew his time on Earth was over. It's not easy, but look with your heart and you will know. We have to think what they need, not what we want.
I'm sorry you are facing this. Good luck.

Loci has been living like this for over a month. > He is so lethargic, all he does is sleep. It breaks my heart to see him this way. His buddy tries to play with him, but he just lays there. I put him on the floor and he takes a few steps then collapses in exhaustion. It breaks my heart that the only time he is awake is to eat and take his medicine.
