The following is a crosspost from MaFF's Forum. I have contacted the person
posting and have asked for and received their permission to post their
question to the Ferret Health List.
If anyone is able to provide any information on Canavac, side effects, etc.
I will be happy to send it to the author of this post.

Hi all! Do you know vaccine against destemper named CANAVAC? In the Czech
Republic is problem with this vaccine. Some ferrets have already died.
Canavac is only registred vaccine for ferrets in CR. We are looking for
prooves that this vaccine is bad fot ferrets.
Do you have some experiencis with it?
The symptoms afret aplikation of Canavac are:
days:
0 : Aplication of Canvac
7 - 10: tireness, ferret eats a little, and a little excretion
11: sniffle, rash on chin, conjuctivitis
12: crusta on place of rash, septic flow from eyes, activity is decreased,
eats less, but drinks normal
13: The symptoms from 12th day are graduating
14: itch, pulmonary murmur , limited movement, later the day epileptic fit,
ataxic
15: apathy, no eating, no drinking, no excretion, still epileptic
16 - 17: no movement, No eat no drink no excretion
later ferret died
Symptoms may differ for each ferret.
