Hello RB6930@msn.com,
In reference to your comment:

We have had over 50 ferrets come in and out of our shelter in the last 12
months. All of the ferrets have been friendly to each other. But, last week we
got in a 20 week old male. He was one that found a new home fast. Today we
sent an 8 week old male to live with him. They do not get along at all.. I just
sent over a small cage to keep them separated. Is there anything else we can
try?

There are several things you might try, 1, is to observe carefully and step
in if you feel the 20 week old is playing too rough. 2, you can try putting a
little bitter apple for ferrets on the 8 week old baby in the places you
notice the 20 week old biting, nipping or chewing.
If you have to discipline, remember to be gentle and after a short period,
let the one being disciplined know that your not "Mad" at them by picking them
up and giving loving. This also helps them learn to be handle in a proper
manner as well has what is acceptable when being handle. Training some ferrets
can take a long time, but with gentle love and discipline, everything will
work out. If not, you may have to try to find one of the 2 a new forever home.
Weren't the 2 placed together at the shelter prior to the adoptions?
