Hey all,

Kiki is doing much better today. I took him to the vet yesterday, and they=

kept him all day and started him on A/D mixed with water feeding him throug=
h
a syringe. By the time I went to pick him up yesterday evening, he seemed
much more alert and happy. I've been able to feed him like they did
yesterday through syringe without any problems at all. He seems quite happ=
y
to have a full belly now. :o) I've been feeding him every 1-2 hours (with
the exception of 5 hours this morning as I had to work, plus I'm not feedin=
g
him at night). Also, the vet wants me to give him his prednisone tablet
each morning. It was a very easy task to do as all I had to do was crush i=
t
and mix it with his morning feeding. He didn't know the difference. I can=

tell that he's starting to get some of his energy back, even though he's
still sleeping quite a bit. =

I do have some questions though. How do I get him back on his regular food=

after "spoiling" him with the soft food? If, after a little while, I start=

to taper down the feedings, will he start going back to his regular food
automatically? Also, he's pretty skinny now that I can feel his ribs so I'=
m
going to need to get some weight on him. How would I go about doing that?

One more thing; a humerous thing actually. When I took Kiki to the vet las=
t
Thursday to drop him off for his adrenal surgery; the lady there asked me
who I had. I told her, Kiki. She then said, "Here to get spayed, right?" =
=

Here for adrenal surgery", I corrected. She looked at the papers she was
holding, and she laughed and then said, "Tiki's getting spayed." LOL! =

Apparently an animal named Tiki was getting spayed and she got Kiki and Tik=
i
mixed up. I thought it rather odd that they would have Kiki down to get
spayed. For one, Kiki is a boy, and two, he's already been fixed. The vet=

would have had a hard time spaying him. lol!
