I hope all goes well for Cookie and for you!!! My Kiki just had BOTH
adrenal glands removed last week and the vet had to do a ven cava ligation
on him as well. He seems to be doing ok now. He slowly recovering. My ve=

gave Kiki a steroid shot which makes up for the loss of both adrenal glands=

I am giving him prednisone once a day at the moment, but will taper that
off as the vet feels Kiki can handle it. The leftover adrenal tissue
scattered throughout the body should start to take over though. =
It is a difficult decision. I had to make that decision, but my ferret is
only 3 1/2 years old and I knew that he was too young for me to lose him if=
I didn't have to. I had to do the surgery. =
