The ER vets totally missed this, but as soon as my regular vet saw the x-rays he picked it up right away. Enlarged heart. My ferret's heart was huge, which is most likely what caused the weakness. Good news is that in less than two days between x-rays the heart did go down a bit, (with no treatment but supportive care) but is still enlarged. Also, a murmur of rating 1 (lowest rating). She's still weak and tired, but her spirit seems good. She's on lasix twice a day and a recheck in 10-14 days.
