Where exactly are you located? Someone here may be in your area and know of a good vet. Have you tried posting on the FML asking if anyone knows of a ferret knowledgeable vet in your area? A number of people have gotten good responses from that method. Should you decide to make ferrets a part of your life long-term, you'll need to find a good vet sooner or later.
