I can't speak on a scientific level, but mine have a weird affinity to the computer
desk and cords curled up on the floor, too. They don't chew or try to pull on them,
but I don't see that there would be any danger from anything "emitting" through the
cords, if that's what you mean. I will caution, however, about the fan in the back of
the tower itself.

I once heard a strange sound (about a year ago now) and went to see what it was.
Boo-Boo was on his hind legs looking at the top of the tower, but his little paws
were on the portion of the back of the tower where the fan was. The sound I was
hearing was the fan blades hitting his fingernails!! After that, while the kids were
out, the PC was kept OFF. Scared the dickens out of me. We look back and make
light-hearted comments about getting an "instant manicure," but we do take the
situation quite seriously and know just how close he came to possibly losing his
toes.

Has anyone ever had a ferret with a ruptured ear drum? I had to take my Max
to see our vet today because he couldn't walk without falling over and his
head was tilted to the left.
I thought it might have been his sugar and gave him a little honey and his
duck soup and over the hrs he got a little better so off to the vet we go
and she checked his ears and she said the right one was ruptured.
She said it could be caused by an ear infection or earmites but he didn't
have either.
If anyone has had anything like this before please let me know and if there
is any reading about it please pass it on also.
My vet also said surgery could be done but it would be a VERY delicate
surgery and she didn't know anyone who would do it.
Thanks
Anna and Max
