Funny you should mention all these things with your Kiki! After Boo had his=
adrenal surgery, I've not been able to wean him off the babyfood/kibble mi=
x! He's set in his ways. I grind up his Totally Ferret and put about a half=
tablespoon at each of his feedings mixed with the babyfood. This way I kno=
w he's getting his "ferret" nutrients as well as the benefits of his chicke=
n babyfood. We started with Pred tabs, too, but it wasn't getting his blood=
sugar high enough. So, I received some remarks about switching to the Pred=
nisolone liquid and immediatley saw a remarkable increase in his energy lev=
el as well as his blood sugar levels. When Boo went in for surgery his bloo=
d sugar was 18 (yes, not a typo -18). About three weeks after surgery (bein=
g only on the Prednisolone for 4 days) his blood sugar was already up to 61=
. So, needless to say, I've kept him happy with his babyfood. He'll probabl=
y always stay with that. He knows he is spoiled now! But if he is eating, h=
ealthy and having no episodes, then babyfood mix it is. I do see him sneak =
a real kibble every now and then but he will never let me know that!
Good luck with Kiki and glad to know the fuzzybutt is doing good.
