I have a baby that did the same thing after his splenectomy. It took about 6 months for him to actually start eating dry kibble again. What I found worked was my ferrets each have their own hidey holes and my boy would go to his sisters hiding place and eat what she had stashed. I caught him doing this by accident so I started putting more dry kibble in the hiding spot while he wasn't looking and he would eat it up. It's a little sneaky but so was he!! LOL
