Subject: Adrenal treatment in the UK

I have a ferret diagnosed with adrenal disease, however, I am in the UK where this is an unusual case. Does anyone know how it is treated in the UK? I know surgery is usually cited, but I've been told this is almost unheard of in the UK and vets aren't familiar with the op.
Is Lupron available to the UK, perhaps sent direct from the States?
