unlikely, although right after surgery the remaining gland may be slow to turn back
on adn they may have a temp. problem with addison's, or just needing cortisone.
But what you describe is not consistent only because Addison's is pretty quick and
the ferret can die quickly if untreated. Not for months. It does sound like
your ferret may have stomach ulcers, or other issues- any blood glucose checked?

A blood test to check electrolytes, that includes the sodium and potassium is all
you need to see if addison's, a lot cheaper then the Adrenal ( Or Tennessee panel)
