Have bladder or kidney stones been considered?
Most uroliths in ferrets are struvite, but because the rate of ferrets' cystine stones sent for analysis to U.C. Davis vet school markedly increased in the last year+ there is a study going on now.
The new study on cystine stones (cystine uroliths) in ferrets is being coordinated by
