Subject: Depo Lupron for treating Adrenal Disease

My oldest ferret is a bit over 4 years old, has had both sides of the adrenal gland removed, and now almost a year later her vulva is swelling back up again.
My vet has suggested Depo Lupron as the best option, also stating that it is quite pricey and sometimes hard to come by.
Have any of you tried this drug with your ferrets and how would you rate its performance? and how often or how long could your ferret go in between shots?
