Subject: bloody mass

My very young ferret has a bloody mass that seems to be at his
anus. I cleaned the area, and it seems that his anus is bleeding and enlarged. I just don't know what this "cherry looking" mass could be from?
I am hand feeding him as I thought it may be a food irritation.
Any advice or ideas are welcomed. He is sleeping well now, after giving him some electrolytes and Gerber Chicken. Thanks in advance.
