It was my understanding that the mystery disease was found only in ferrets approx.
1.5 years and younger. Has this changed?
[Moderator's Note: Yes, older ferrets are being seen with this, the infected ferrets
are coming from a range of sources both farm and private breeders, and it is
occuring more inland than where it had been seen in the beginning. Aside from it
still being rare, and from the regional clumping and not seeing multiple cases with
symptoms in the same households the patterns seen early on mostly are no longer
absolutes.]
