Yes, you are completely right about checking with x-ray. Lympho in the spinal cord can do that, too, as happened with our Meeteetse. (The primary med for that, BTW, is also the primary med for controlling insulinoma: Prednisolone, and that med is also used to helo control inflammation related to injuries.) Of course, first it's essential to rule out that the already existing insulinoma is just well beyond the control of current medication doses by having a prompt vet visit and testing.
