Revolution is great stuff, but it does have several types :) I use the dog type.

Dog Revolution protects against fleas, ear mites, sarcoptic mange and heartworm, but not intestinal worms nor ticks.

Cat Revolution protects against fleas, ear mites, heartworm and some intestinal worms, but not sarcoptic mange nor ticks.

I talked to the manufacturers once, who said that it is apparently difficult to get a chemical that works on both heartworm and ticks (from memory), which is why they haven't managed to add ticks to the list yet.

Ferrets aren't generally prone to intestinal worms.
