Hi,

I currently have a ferret that is going through a similar thing. My ferret=
(Bandit) started this back in September. The bird seedy stools progressed=
into full-blown diarrhea with in a couple of weeks. But he is finally get=
ting better. My vet is not really sure what he had (IBD, ECE, ulcer). All =
of his tests where negative. It seems that the most likely was probably an =
intestinal irritant (ECE, Helicobacter=85ect), which also caused ulcers. I =
have weaned him off all the med except Sucralfate. He has lost about a pou=
nd and half of body weight, but has since gained about three-quarters of a =
pound back. He still will not eat ferret kibble and I am cooking turkey fo=
r him because he will not eat chicken. It seems the trick to getting mine t=
o come around was not only the right meds but the right foods. I wish you g=
ood luck, and be persistent. These little ferrets are pretty resilient. =

ps - I would love to share the whole detailed story but is fairly long, due=
to the lenght of time this occured and what we did and didn't do.
