We have been well above "maximum levels" and have found that when not adding it would mean a risk of death, anyway, it pays to go with "whatever the individual tolerates". BTW, we also have see a WIDE range of how much Lasix a given individual can cope with.

Current vet texts vary. For example, the latest _Ferrets, Rabbits, Rodents_ on page 443t has Furosemide at 2 mg/kg q 8 to 12 h for the oral whereas _Ferrets, a Guide for Practitioners_ (page 31) has 1 to 4 mg/kg with the same spacing.

We have had at least 2 who tolerated more and one who had problems with an amount that never could be taken to the max with her.
