I have seen my fur kids get out of their cages. I now keep the doors clamped
shut with some metal clamps I purchased at the store.
I have no upper drawers in my kitchen cabinets as they open the bottom
drawers, climb up the back, push the drawer open and explore what ever is on the
stove, sink, counters.
I had a two foot tall barrier to prevent them (ha ha) from going into another
area, one day I found one out of their play area and I put him back in and
stood back and watched, this little guy stood flat footed and jumped up and
caught the top of the barrier with his paws and pulled himself over, of course the
others were watching and shortly followed suit, except for Scooter who is
just a tab bit chunky to jump.
These guys can figure out problems so I would not discount that they can
rationalize. Just look at the twinkle in their eyes and tell me they don't think.
