May be a prolapse, usually is. Those are pretty common in kits who are adju=
sting to new foods and in those with diarrhea.
Here are two posts from the FHL Archives to help you:

http://fhl.sonic-weasel.org/browse.php?msg=3DYG8636
and there are more there as well.
Is he straining to go? If so, consider that he may have eatten something h=
e shouldn't but that it may not have been large enough to block him. Does =
he have access to common causes of blockages like rubber, chewed cloth, lat=
ex, erasers, carrot, very dried fruits, etc.? If he stops being able to go=
to the bathroom he will need an emergency vet appointment, but if he doesn=
't have enough to form a real blockage laxatives based around petroleum jel=
ly can help. We've had a few who came close to blocking themselves when th=
ey got packing pellets or in one case, ate half of a bright green sock and =
with those ferrets the laxative helped them pass the foreign bodies. (We h=
ave also had two who needed stomach surgery, one had a deformed stomach and=
had 4 stomach surgeries in his life (and two surgeries for another deforma=
tion), and the other was a bed-snacker who liked to eat in fake fleece bedd=
ing and it blocked him terribly so after his surgery I had to sew sheeting =
over the fake fleece whcih worked perfectly to prevent any recurrance (and =
even made the beds easier to clean and longer-lasting).
