I'm not a vet, just a many year ferret owner. A lot of folks rub a
little Preparation H on it. If it is a very young one, soften it's
kibble by soaking it in warm water before feeding. If it is really bad,
it may be necessary to take it to your vet and get a purse string stitch
in it.
