I assume ferrets can end up with diabetes if they're overweight, much like what
happens to humans?? Boo-Boo's case, I'm afraid, is my fault. He was so skeletal
that when he began gaining I thought it was a good thing. I also had no idea
exactly how much he should be eating to 'maintain' his normal weight. Someone
posted that I was feeding him about the amount their FIVE pound ferret ate... so
that sent up a flag for sure.

In the meantime, he doesn't want the kibble. This is another issue that is driving
me nuts because he flat out doesn't want to even try, and I can't even trick him into
it. Do you (or anyone?) think that it's because Zupreem smells SO different from
Shepard and Green? It has a very strong odor that reminds me of Marshall's, but it's
not supposed to contain fish. I was thinking he didn't want the S&G because he may
be associating it with the stomach pain from the ulcer(s), but I don't really know for
sure that this is the case.
