My ferret had adrenal surgery last monday- he is doing good EXCEPT for his stitches. I am about to the end of my rope with this. I have made him an e collar which he always wears but some way some how he has once AGAIN got ahold of his stitches. The Vet is not going to be happy that this has happened again- even though he has an e collar and it is on him properly. Does anyone know about a "body sock"?? This can not go on much longer- he has staples from where he pulled out the top stitches (while in the care of the vet). Has anyone heard of mildly sedating a very troublesome ferret- I make sure not to have blankets in his cage that he can get caught on but he seems to get very agtiated when I put him in his cage after feeding him- he tears everything apart- he seems to have a temper tamtrum or something- I leave the room and after awhile he is quiet and I look- he is sleeping.
Any help anyone could offer would be extremely appreciated.
Thank You
Stessed Out Ferret "MOM"
