Skip the Ferretone. USE FERRET BEHAVIOR. Put some kibble in a paper bag when he does NOT see you doing that and pretend that you do NOT know about it. Let it be his secret for a good long while (days to weeks). Let him steal from it. Let him eat from it. Let him figure that he is completely everyone by none of the humans acting aware of it and by filling it when he can't watch.
