We were just informed of the test results on Jamocha, he has lymphoma. It started out as a knot above his eye and increased in size to where it completely closed his eye. My vet did an aspiration on the area to get the results.
I am not sure what to do now or how to go about helping him. Its a given he will loose his eye, but thats better then his life.
He is only 3 years old and at this time other then the eye swelled shut, his health is fine. He plays, eats, drinks, everything is normal.
My vet is still new to learning on how to treat ferrets with certain illnesses. He knows the basics. I live in Oklahoma, and there is not to many vets around here that are familier with ferrets. He is a great vet and very caring. I am needing some suggestions on where to go from here.
