Those of us with ADV+ ferrets have noticed that ADV+ ferrets frequently
have claws that grow faster and wider. I find I have to clip my ADV+
kids' claws twice as often as the ones who aren't positive.

I was told that any long term stimulant of the immune system can cause
this to happen, so I wouldn't necessarily worry about ADV, though.

And, as others have said, age can also affect how the nails grow.
