I AMNOT a VET!

But we have over 30 elderly shelter ferrets implanted
for 4 mos with ferretonin.

I can attest that none have had thee results among the
candidates we have several bi lateral adrenal ferrets
4 in acute renal failure adn all are doing much better
than before they had the implants administered. OUt
of 30 plus ferrets we have a right adrenal patient who
has not gained any coat improvements. She is also a
renal patient adn chances are that she has a
metasticized adrenal condition... but while her
quality of life is good we continue the lupron &
melatonin therapies for her.

Given that we have so many compensated ferrets on the
ferretonin and none have had any major health
complications since we started my best GUESS is that
your ferret has a separate condition causing the
diabetes. Possibly a right adrenal tumor metasticized
to the liver or A Pancreatic tumor is most likely
the cause.

Sending you prayers,
