Subject: Sever reaction to the purvac vaccine, help please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today I took 4 of my babies to get there distemper shots, and a check up. My
vet uses the purvac vaccine by Merrill.
Big Al was the first up for his shot, by the time all of them had their shot
(in about 5 minutes) Big Al started vomiting profusely. He turned beat red
everywhere, his eyes where bulging and he was having difficulty breathing. My
doctor immediately gave him a shot to counter react it. I cannot think of the
name ephrine something. I was in total panic. He started pawing at his mouth
and cut his lips with his nails. It was hard to tell but he may have vomited
a little bit of blood. Once the shot kicked in he went into shock. Right now
he is with my vet and on an IV for fluids. He is so lifeless right now. I am
a total wreak. We dont know if he will pull through. My vet called Merrill
immediately and they are paying for all of Al's care.
I am scared to death I am going to loose him. He was perfectly healthy and
happy before he had his shot, now, well I just dont know. My vet is also
watching him for possible pneumonia.
Does any one have any thoughts on this. I thought the purvac was sapose to
be safer. This nearly killed him!!!
