In my oppinion, I would start the pred now. I had so many ferrets w/ lympho, tried chemo, it never worked. I did, however, find that the pred bought more time than anything. I know he's not showing signs but often when they do show signs it's harder to get them better. I'm so glad he's doing well 2 mos later but 2 mos in a ferrets life is a long time and you know lympho...it only gets worse -- whats going on inside now (2 mos later)? Also, you say he's sleeping more...that's a clinical sign. I know how tough it is to know what to do, you always want to do the right thing for them and feel guilty if you make the wrong decision...(been there, done that. I'm a vet tech and help people w/ their animals every day and when it comes to my babies I'm a basket case!) Just my oppinion.
