Thank you Sukie for your response about mast cell tumors. I am sorry it has taken me so long to get back on here I have had a sr. dog crisis the last two days. I did read the article on the mast cell tumors you suggested, and it was very helpful. I just still have some questions. For one thing, would washing the ferret in betadine scrub make a mast cell tumor temporarily go away? I do know mast cell tumors in dogs can wax and wane, but this definitely responded to the betadine. Also, is a biopsy the correct thing to do, or could we just go ahead and surgically remove the thing? And since they are benign, is removal necessary? Thank you. Merri
