We usually have them removed aqnd trehn biopsied because the itching is just so uncomfortable. If there is one in a really bad area for surgery or the ferret is a poor surgical candidate we leave them. (Plain oral benedryl seemed to reduce the itchiness in them on one who was a bad surgical candidate and also needed the med due to asthma.)
