Hi,
My vet switched Boo's meds from cefadrops and pred to now the pred (0.4cc) and also 1/10th tab of flagyl and 1/4tab baytril. We've crushed, we've tried with food, with ferretone, everything. He's so stressed from having to take it's sending him back in to insulinoma attacks and afraid to eat his regular food!
It's scaring me so bad. Asked my vet if there's liquid flagyl, she said no. Also asked if we could switch to baitrix and she either wasn't aware of the med or brushed off the thought.
So, a few questions:
IS it the taste of the flagyl alone that's causing him stress?
Is the baytril just as nasty stuff?
Is there other ways to administer these?
Is this baitrix indicated for a fert with liver prob, insulinoma and kidney disease?
Is there any other suggestions that ANYONE can offer me or any further information that I can share with my vet tomorrow so she can get me something else so my fert doesn't get worse??
I am so scared and stressed and really need help!
Many thanks to anyone experienced that can help!
Terra and BOO
