Terra,

Flagyl is awful no matter how you get it but your vet should be able to have it compounded into a liquid. It's very bitter and every ferret/animal hates it. The best thing I find w/ flagyl is to just give it. Don't try to hide it in anything bec. they just won't eat what it's hidden in...they can smell it a mile away. I keep a spoonful of ferretone available for RIGHT AFTER the shaking of the head and gagging, I wipe off their mouth then offer it---if you try to give it during the ordeal they will not want ferretone ever again. Once they realize it's ferretone they usually are happy to lap it up.

Baytril is almost as bad. It can be given as an injection...your vet can show you how to give it and it will definitely be less stressful (it can go subQ so it's easy w/ a 25g needle)

I'm not familiar w/ baitrix, so I can't help w/ that.

I hope this helps.
